Books and Beans in Kincardine believes in quality, fair trade and supporting local area farmers and producers.

Unlike others that rely on automated pre-packaging, Books and Beans features classically-prepared, espresso-based beverages. In addition to 'fair-trade' organic coffee, they also carry a line of organic, 'fair-trade' teas: white, black, green and herbal.

The cafe also offers an Internet coffee shop where users can enjoy a full, home-cooked lunch menu, featuring local produce that supports area farmers and relax in comfort in a living-room like setting.

Fall is definitely pumpkin season and, at Books and Beans, check out the fall feature - A delicious medium pumpkin-pie Chai Latte for $4.20.

Booking now for Christmas parties, luncheons and get-togethers, Books and Beans is also open in the evenings by appointment, and they offer a flat-screen TV and DVD player available for use by groups.

Winter hours: Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
