(Southampton, December 3rd, 2007)....The Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre invites the public and local businesses and organizations to "Be A Star" and show their recognition and support for the County's beautiful 116-seat Bruce Power Theatre with the sponsorship of a decorative seat plaque in the theatre! Join Director/Curator, Barbara Ribey, as she starts the ball rolling with a plaque named in memory of her mother, Bindy Dundas. "Museum members and area supporters may sponsor a seat plaque in their own name, organization or business. Or in the name of, or in memory of a loved one. In appreciation of your donation, you receive a one-year museum membership. Alternatively, if you have a family member who's difficult to buy for at Christmas, or who doesn't need more "stuff", we can provide a card for you to announce that you have put their name on a seat plaque in the theatre. For the next five years everyone who sits there will read the plaque and think of them!" says Ribey |
(continued) The cost to "Be A Star" and sponsor a seat plaque is $500. The sponsorship may be made in one payment, or over time, through post-dated cheques or credit card payments spread over up to five years. Your name will be displayed on our Donor Recognition Wall. plaque sponsorship secures the name chosen by the sponsor, engraved on a metal plaque, fastened to the armrest of the seat of your choice. The first row has twelve seats. Seat plaque sponsorships are on a first come, first served basis! The name you choose will be displayed to patrons attending popular events such as the Candlelight Music Series, which regularly sells out each December. The name may also appear in the Museum's newsletter, annual report, and website, if you wish. A tax-deductible receipt for the entire amount of your sponsorship is available from the County of Bruce.
