Ann Elizabeth Scott Turner (Saunders), 76, of Stratford, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2016, at Stratford General Hospital.

Ann was born in Southampton, Ontario, on May 28, 1939 and was married to Douglas R. Turner on November 4, 1961.  They were married over 54 years.

Ann worked as a labourer at Griffiths Rubber in Stratford and briefly at Hahn Brass in New Hamburg before becoming a homemaker. She enjoyed sketching, painting, and occasionally playing the piano. She proudly spent most of her life being a loving and supportive mother to all her four children.

Ann is survived by her husband, Douglas, daughter Carolynne, sons Donald and Norman, daughter Mary Margaret and grandchildren Kevin Turner, Bryan Peralta, Maria Peralta, and Travis Rettinger, brother George Saunders and wife Marlene, and many nieces and nephews.

Ann is preceded in death by her mother Clara (Babe) and father Vernon. The Turner family wishes to thank the compassionate staff of Stratford General Hospital, Rev. Kathi Urbasik-Hindley and all the extended family and friends who gave their kind support. Family and friends may call at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Monday, February 29, 2016 from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m.
