A wonderful evening was enjoyed by approximately 30 women at the Ladies' night hosted by the Tiverton Baptist Church.
Organizers Angela Onuluk and Lisa Robertson-Taylor scheduled an informative evening on health and wellness.
Speakers included Melissa Cooper a Health Coach from Magnum Total Fitness. She made a ď60 second chocolate cake which we all were offered to taste and yes, it was fabulous. Healthy eating was encouraged for the holiday season but to still enjoy the wonderful food. She can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The second speaker was Ruth Ball from Chalmers Church giving us an inspirational devotion explaining the true meaning of Christmas.
The last speaker was M. Colette Harman N.D., a doctor of Naturopathic Medicine. She is from the Kincardine Holistic Health Centre on Durham St. in Kincardine and gave a very enlightening approach to using natural products to get you thru the holiday season after all the delicious food is consumed. She can be reached at email@example.com or www.KincardineHolistic.com. You will be amazed by all the alternatives you can use.
Between speakers, everyone enjoyed punch, tea and some appetizers. They will be holding another ladies' night in the spring to talk about gardening so be sure to watch for that.
Manor MusingsThe residents of Tiverton Park Manor enjoyed their annual Owen Sound Festival of Northern Lights Tour. We had a full bus of residents and volunteers first going to Harrison Park Inn for dinner and then on to the tour.
First stop was at the grounds of Harrison Park where we enjoyed the beautiful display of lights and the story of Christmas which was broadcast over the radio. There were also many swans and ducks in the pond to view. Next was on to the city lights which are so amazing. The downtown lit up the sky with the most amazing colors. Even the docked Chi-Cheemaun was lighted up. If youíve never gone or havenít been this year, then you have till January 3rd, 2016.
