At Kincardine Airport, the 'airport house' has long been in contention and, recently, it was observed to be on the move.

Kincardine Council had made the decision to have the house demolished however, after securing the contract to demolish, Ken Jackson found an opportunity to move the house to an offsite location.

According to Kincardine CAO, Murray Clarke, the decision to sell the house was the original hope for the structure in an avoidance of demolishment.

The house is to be moved on Monday (Aug. 17th)  to Concession 5, then on to the final location in Inverhuron.

"Itís actually a good arrangement for us," says Clarke. "The municipality had agreed to waive tipping fees for the demolition material, an amount of some $9,000, and we would have also had to manage all of the waste, so this is a win-win situation."
