It may have been a cold, windy, wet day for the Tiverton Fall Fair, but at least it didn't rain on the parade, as a crowd turned out for that and more Saturday at the 153rd annual event in Tiverton, featuring "Trucks, Tonkas and Tractors."

The Tiverton and District Lions Club hosted a fall fair breakfast first thing in the morning, serving more than 200 adults and kids. This was followed by the miniature horse show, judging of children's pet show, and judging of the open poultry show.

Other activities included the kids' mini-tractor pull, balloons and face-painting, musical entertainment, a texting competition, lawn and garden tractor pull, needle in a haystack, exhibits and the midway.

The parade began at noon and featured numerous floats, the 2014 ambassador of the fair and the Junior Prince and Princess of the fair, the Teeswater Highlanders Pipe Band, vintage cars and tractors, clowns, decorated bicycles, horses, and much more.

The day ended with the fall fair dance to "Crazymaker."

The fair continued Sunday with more great events.
