The annual Rotary Home and Garden show ended on Sunday on a high note. According to organizer Bob Lunney, "The attendance numbers were up on Friday alone by six per cent and I figure we'll probably have had 800 people or more come through. We had 10 extra vendors this year too and the main floor was sold out a month in advance." There was a 50-50 draw on Saturday and Sunday with Saturday's winner, Brian Duncan, banking $600 and Sunday's winner, Steven McLean, received $366.

Bob Lunney finds a quiet spot to have a bite to eat One of the highlights of show each year is the 'top vendor' trophy and prize. The prize is given out to the vendor whose exhibit displays the most creativity and amount of work that went into it. This year, the prize , a GPS, was given to Belle Terra Landscape Design and Property Management. "They really put a lot of work into their display," said Lunney. "They began Thursday night and even helped out other vendors move some of their product in." Lunney expects that the show will have raised approximately $20,000 that will go back in to the community, although a final tally is not yet in.
