Sewer expansion proceeds on schedule

Work is underway

The sewer expansion project on the north side of the Saugeen River continues and is ahead of schedule.

The 11 crews are moving quickly through the area although two setbacks occurred with broken water mains due to digging.

According to Dave Burnside, head of Engineering for the Town of Saugeen Shores, the residents have been very receptive and accepting of the temporary disruption along streets.

The crossing of pipe under the river is expected to take place in July although it is weather and schedule dependent.
