The Ontario Teachers’ Federation and Planet in Focus Environmental Film Festival Series will be presented by G.C. Huston Public School and Saugeen District Secondary School from May 12 to May 14.

The OTF/PIF Environmental Film Festival is offered by the Ontario Teachers’ Federation in partnership with Planet in Focus, with funding provided by the Ministry of Education to support teachers’ professional learning and leadership.

This series of thought provoking and entertaining films will be shown to hundreds of elementary and secondary students in various schools throughout Saugeen Shores and Chesley. The films will be previewed at Kinghurst Community School, Saugeen District Secondary School, G.C. Huston Public School, and Saugeen Central Public School.

Partnering with the schools, Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre, located in Southampton, is hosting public viewings of a small selection of the movies on May 13 and 14 at 8:00pm. Admission to the Museum for this film festival is by donation, with proceeds going to G.C. Huston Fairy Lake Project and Saugeen District Secondary School tree-planting project.
