Tiverton Minor Sports held a very successful hockey banquet Friday
night with all the teams and coaches front and centre. The banquet had
several family members come to the arena, enjoy the chili and watch the
club celebrate the immense talent we have in the village. The Tiverton and District Lions Club will be holding
its annual garage sale on May 14-15 at the Tiverton annex. Donations of
items are greatly appreciated, and will be received at the annex on May
12 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., May 13, 5-8 p.m., and May 15, 9 a.m. to 3
p.m. For more information, contact Gerda at 519-368-7792 or Bob at
519-396-5486.

Manor Musings It’s
been a busy winter at the Manor. We’ve had many new tenants and sadly
have had a few pass away. Our newest residents are a pair of Indigo
ducks we have in our courtyard and a pair of piglets. The residents
have named the ducks Adam and Eve and the piglets Porgy and Bess. The
ducks feel comfortable enough to be fed from our hands and have shown
their thanks with eggs. Some of our residents have gone high-tech using
the computer to keep in contact with distant relatives. South Bruce OPP
constable Kevin Martin, community services officer, came in to give the
residents information about frauds against seniors, and at the end of
the month the residents will be touring the new OPP facility in
Kincardine.
