The Dance class at Saugeen District Secondary School (SDSS)  is hosting their 2nd annual 'Gathering of the Butterflies': Youth Pow-Wow on June 9th, 2010.

Hand-drum Saugeen Singers

The Morning workshops will begin at 9:00am and consist of Hand Drumming with the women hand drum singers from Saugeen,

Chief Randall Kahgee

Treaties with Chief Randall Kahgee, Archaeology with Bill Fitzgerald and storytelling with Elder Orlyn Solomon. Classes from SDSS that have course relations to these workshops are invited to attend.

The Pow-Wow events will begin at 11:45 a.m. and will consist of the grand entry, contests including; potato dance, money pick-up, two step, inter-tribal and exhibitions.

Grades 7&8 students from G.C Huston Public School and SDSS students are invited to attend this community event.

All Pow-Wow events will be located at 780 Gustavus Street behind the high school in the football field.
