Volunteers needed for 2010 Relay for Life

The 2nd Annual Saugeen Shores Relay for Life to beat cancer will be held on Friday, July 9th and Saturday, July 10th.

Registration for the July event will be held May 29th at Legault's Independent Grocers from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and the organizing is hopeful that several new teams will turn out along with returning ones.  Donations will also be accepted and, in addition, luminaries will be sold .

Last year's Relay for Life raised over $175,000 topping all expectations and resulting in the committee winning the provincial "Team Work Award".

Those who participated last year, both walkers and volunteers, say that it was a life-changing experience.  This year, volunteers are again needed in every area, including, set up, food services. luminaries, security, registration, parking and take-down.  The Committee is also looking for team volunteers and survivors who wish to celebrate life.
