Tuesday night Trades League at The Links At Pipers Glen on May 11th was a blustery day/night that saw 13 souls brave the windy, wet and challenging conditions. The wind was howling and the rain came and went every five minutes almost Scottish like weather, which is probably the reason for half the field of players being Scottish they felt at Home Shuggy (Gary Hughes) remarked as he hit the longest drive on the 12th hole with the prevailing wind.

Ron Mottram was astounded when he hit the longest putt on the 11th from about 20' give or take a foot. Stacy Brent was playing an excellent game when he hit the closest to the pin on the 13th and what a shot 185 yards against the wind. The wind was blowing so much that nobody made it on to the shortest par 3 on the course to win the closest to the pin on the 16th, this will be a carry over for next Tuesday.

The players were playing hidden partners and the usual suspects took the honours as follows; 1st Gary Hughes and Stacy Brent 2nd came Kevin Higgins and Kyle Akins 3rd were Daren Zoldy and Doug Lamarre way to go guys well done.

The Club house has had extensive refurbishments done and is looking great with a new menu, which includes the best burgers in town. The Trades League would like to thank our sponsors The Links at Pipers Glen, A.E.C.L., Black and McDonald, Comstock and Modification Technologies for their excellent support and to all the players that come out and play in any conditions even the rain well done to all the winners see you next week.
