TRAFFIC

Traffic volume on the Bruce Peninsula appears to be on the increase as the first long summer weekend of 2010 nears.

Over the past weekend officers investigated 12 traffic related matters on the Bruce Peninsula including three day drivers license suspensions, suspended drivers, speeding, stop sign violations and erratic driving.  As traffic volume increases over the summer months, police would remind all drivers to drive defensively and be extra cautious near intersections and built up

A 41-year-old Owen Sound woman will appear in Owen Sound Court June 10th to face the charge of Driving Over the Legal Limit.  The woman was stopped on Bruce Rd. 8, at Hepworth, late Saturday evening.  Police determined she had been drinking and a roadside test was demanded.  The woman’s test result was a “fail.”  She was arrested and transported to Bruce Peninsula Detachment where she provided further breath samples over the legal limit.  She will appear in Owen Sound Court June 10th facing one offence.  Charged with “Driving Over the Legal Limit” is Keri BRIGGS. 

BREAK AND ENTER

SAUGEEN FIRST NATION, ON.) – A break-in was reported at an apartment complex on Pashwood Drive Saturday evening.  Culprits entered an apartment and did some minor damage to the interior walls of the unit.  The matter is still under investigation.
