The construction boom continues in Kincardine, with 26 building permits issued in April, for a total construction value of $2.85 million. This is up slightly from March when there were also 26 permits issued, with a value of $2.5 million.

But the numbers are up sharply from last year at this point, with 73 building permits issued, for a value of $6.8 million, compared to last year's first four months when the total was 56 permits with a value of almost $4.4 million.

April this year saw permits issued for six houses, with a total value of almost $2 million, plus a commercial renovation of $400,000.

So far this year, there have been permits issued for 12 houses, with a total value of almost $4 million.
