At the minor sports banquet, two prominent members were recognized for their outstanding commitment to the association. Ken Young has contributed 33 years and Ron Simmons contributed around 15 years.

The Knox Presbyterian Church Restoration Committee is hosting a hamburg/sausage Lunch on Monday, May 17, at noon. A goodwill offering will be collected - all are welcome.

The stewardship committee is holding its annual Plant Sale on Saturday, May 29, starting at 8 a.m. If you are dividing perennials and you would like to donate them to the sale, please leave them at the church on May 27 and 28. Please mark them as to what kind and colour if possible.

The Annual General Meeting for minor sports is Tues. May 18, at 7:30 p.m. at the arena. The association is looking for a girls convener. The position would get help through the computer program to register girls if interested.
 
Happy birthday goes out to Nancy Young who is 50 years young, Susan Campbell who has been on the 40 list five times now and Barb MacKenzie who celebrated on Friday.

The former Senior Games is now the "55+ Games". Anyone 55 or older is encouraged to participate. We will be having euchre, cribbage, four-handed bid euchre and six-handed bid euchre in Tiverton for anyone in the area. These games will be held early in May. WMS

The friendship meeting of Tiverton WMS was held Wednesday, April 14, at 12:15 p.m. in the Church School Room with a potluck luncheon. Donna Williams hosted the meeting. Rev. Jen opened with prayer and a delicious lunch was enjoyed by 18 ladies. After the meal, Donna held a short meeting. Ten members answered the roll call with a spring verse. Ruby Brown played the piano for a sing-song. Donna read several readings and Alberta Smith ended the meeting with a flower contest. Rev. Jen closed the meeting with prayer.
