The Tiverton Minor Sports Association runs a variety of programs for the children in the village and surrounding areas. This is totally by volunteer and there are several positions that are needed. Come out to the Annual General Meeting tomorrow night (May 18) at 7:30 p.m. at the arena. One of the positions is a girls convener. The position would get help through the computer program to register girls if interested.

The Tiverton Friendly Folk are hosting euchre at the Lions Hall on Tuesday, May 25, at 1:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

The Campbells held their first annual family reunion on Sunday at the Lions Park. Families from Mitchell, Southampton, Port Elgin, Sarnia and the local area gathered to enjoy an afternoon of reminiscing and watching the kids play.

The Tiverton and District Lions Club held its annual garage sale on the weekend and it was very well attended.

The stewardship committee is holding its annual Plant Sale on Saturday, May 29, starting at 8 a.m. If you are dividing perennials and you would like to donate them to the sale, please leave them at the church on May 27 and 28. Please mark them as to what kind and colour if possible.

Tiverton Baptist Church

The Baptist Church will be celebrating its 154th anniversary on Sunday, June 6, at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. We welcome  Rev. Adrienne Wilsonne, former pastor in Haiti. Special music at both services, and there will be refreshments after both services. All are welcome to attend this special time with us. The Vacation Bible School will run July 19-23 for children, ages four to 12. If you would like more information, please call Pastor Rob at 519-396-3678. There is no pre-registration required.
