BREAK-INS (SOUTH BRUCE PENINSULA, ON.) – Bruce Peninsula OPP had two break-ins reported over the past few days. A cottage was entered through a basement window in the 600 block of the D-Line in Sauble Beach. The entry occurred sometime over the past month. In the second break-in at the Coal Shed Willies Restaurant at Blue Water Park in Wiarton, a door was forced and a small quantity of cash and food was taken. The restaurant has been broken into several times over the past few months and police would ask that any member of the public who has information that would assist in the investigation, contact Bruce Peninsula OPP or Crime Stoppers. DRIVE UNDER SUSPENSION Over the past weekend, Bruce Peninsula OPP stopped two motorists who were found to be suspended drivers, one a 21-year-old Hepworth man and the other, a 35-year-old man from Georgian Bluffs. To date in 2010, through motor vehicle collision investigations, traffic stops and tips from the public, Bruce Peninsula OPP has dealt with 19 Highway Traffic Act suspended drivers and 5 persons driving while disqualified because of Criminal Code matters. Driving is a privilege, not a right, so protect your licence by driving safely, obeying traffic laws and, if you are charged with a traffic offence, deal with it. An unresolved ticket will often lead to a drivers licence suspension.
