MOTORCYCLE OPERATOR CHARGED WITH MULTIPLE COUNTS

(TOWN OF SOUTH BRUCE PENINSULA, ON.) – A 27-year-old Allenford man will appear in Owen Sound Court on June 24th facing charges of Dangerous Driving and Fleeing from Police contrary to the Criminal Code as well as Racing contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.

Bruce Peninsula officers encountered the man on his motorcycle on May 12th on two seperate occasions and both times the motorcycle operator fled when police attempted to stop him. Police were able to identify the operator through information from the community. On May 20th a third attempt was made to stop the speeding motorcycle. On this occasion an unmarked police car was waiting near the motorcyclist’s residence and when the Allenford resident arrived home he was arrested without incident. His motorcycle was seized for 7 days and he was later released for the June 24th court date. Charged is Matthew McCullough, age 27.
