ASSAULT RESULTS IN CHARGES
(TOBERMORY, ON.) – A 22-year-old man from Hamilton spent the weekend
in jail after assaulting a woman in Tobermory Saturday. Police received
a report that a woman had been assaulted in front of Peacock’s Meat &
Grocery in Tobermory late Saturday morning. Upon police arrival,
spectators who witnessed the altercation pointed out the persons
involved and the male was arrested. Investigation revealed the victim
was a 21-year-old, also of the same address in Hamilton. The 22-year-old
was held for a bail hearing Monday at which time he was released on bail
to appear in Owen Sound Court on the 10th of June.
FEMALE CHARGED IN COLLISION
(TOWN OF SOUTH BRUCE PENINSULA, ON.) – At 2:25 PM Sunday, officers
from Bruce Peninsula OPP attended a vehicle rollover on Hwy. 6 south of
Wiarton. Upon arrival police found the two persons in the vehicle had
been injured and required medical attention. The driver, a 21-year-old
Owen Sound woman, was charged with Careless Driving.
