Emily Grubb is the youth service officer with the Service Canada Centre for Youth in Kincardine and Walkerton this summer. Her job is to promote the services that the youth centre can offer students and employers. The centres are a federal government initiative, assisting youth employment across Canada. They provide employers with job-posting services, and youth with help in their job searchers. They also organize events and workshops throughout the communities they serve. There are more than 300 youth centres across Canada. The Kincardine centre is located in the Kincardine Library and is open Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Walkerton centre is at 200 McNabb St. The youth centre helps young people by providing:
