The Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation is holding its first lottery, with more than $82,000 in prizes.

The grand prize is a 2010 red Ford Mustang convertible, with a retail value of $35,729. Plus there are several other cash prizes and gift certificates.

Only 1,500 tickets have been printed, and they go on sale Thursday, June 3, at 12 noon sharp. Tickets are $100 each or three for $250, and are available at the Davidson Centre on June 3 from noon to 7 p.m.; June 4, noon to 4 p.m.; and June 7, noon to 4 p.m. (cash or cheque only please).

They are also being sold, starting June 3, at Meridian Credit Union, Jerome Flowers, Co-operators and Malcolm Place - again, cash or cheque only.

Tickets are also available by Visa, Mastercard, cash or cheque at the hospital foundation office, beginning at noon on June 3, or by calling 519-396-3331, Ext. 342, until the tickets are sold out.

The early bird draw is Sept. 9 at 2 p.m., at the hospital foundation office. There will be 75 $100-prizes drawn.

The main draw will be Oct. 16, beginning at 10 a.m. at Malcolm Place. Tickets will be drawn lowest to highest: 

• 48 prizes x $100
• 50 prizes x $200
• 20 prizes x $500
• 5 prizes x $1,000
• 1 prize x $2,500
• 1 prize x $5,000
• Bank of Nova Scotia – tax free savings account - 1 prize x $100
• Quinn’s Flower Shop - Gift Certificate - 1 prize x $100
• Jerome Flowers - Gift Certificate - 1 prize x $100
• SBGHC – Kincardine Auxiliary Gift Shop - Gift Certificate -  1 prize x $100
• Fishermen’s Cove Gift Certificate 2 Nights camping and 1 day of boat rental – Value $210

• JB’s Lingerie Gift Certificate – 2 prizes x $100
• Dar-Lyn Pools and Spa Gift Certificate - 1 prize x $500
• Bram-K Enterprises cash donation - 1 prize x $100
• Concepts Plus cash donation - 1 prize x $100
• Jean's Restaurant cash donation - 1 prize x $100
• Tea 'N That cash donation - 1 prize x $100
• Superheat FGH cash donation - Gift Certificate - 1 prize $100

All tickets will be re-entered into the drum so you can win again and again.  There are a limited number of tickets - 1500 – (which includes the 75 Early Bird draws).  BDO will be present at both draws and all ticket requirements and regulations will be audited. You do not have to be present at the draws to win.

This is the first hospital lottery in the area, and organizers anticipate it to be a huge success.  There will be no Tax receipts issued, as this is a lottery and there are prizes attached.  YOU MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE TO PURCHASE A TICKET AND TO PARTICIPATE IN THE DRAW. 

All money raised from the lottery will buy medical equipment for the Kincardine hospital.
