The weather was bright and sunny for the first-time power sports show in this area and, thanks to the many exhibitors and those who attended, it was a great success.

The businesses and organizations with displays included:
  • CPI Recreational Products of Orillia
  • Snowline Sports of Thorndale
  • Tennyson Technical Services of Underwood
  • B&K Tire and Battery of Brodhagen
  • Mitchell Cycle of Mitchell
  • Dennis Pierson Chevrolet of Kincardine
  • Southwestern Ontario Lawn Tractor Racing Association
  • Huron Shores ATV Club
  • Bluewater Town and Country Snowmobile Club
  • Grand Prix de Kincardine Snowmobile Racing of Inverhuron, Rob Noakes and family, host of the event
  • John Gowing of Tiverton
  • Bruce Reinhart of Kitchener
  • Norman Newman of Kincardine
  • Sarnia Lambton Biker's Rights Organization, a.k.a. Sarnia Lambton BRO

One exhibitor, Bill Moffatt of CPI Recreational Products, just returned to Ontario from China, signing contracts and arranging deliveries of snowmobiles to Canada.

What started out as a snowmobile-racing hobby has turned into a production company, he said.

He has developed a prototype racing sled that is being tested by Transport Canada to ensure it meets environmental standards.

"This Canadian design and engineering is being produced in China and should be for sale by mid-October," said Moffatt.

He and his family have been supporters of the Grand Prix de Kincardine snowmobile races since they began a couple of years ago. The event is held in January, with the winner taking home the Kincardine Cup.
