– Bruce Peninsula OPP would remind vehicle owners to LOCK YOUR CARS
when they are unattended. Last week a visitor to Sauble Beach left his
vehicle for a few hours and when he returned he found his golf clubs,
iPOD and sunglasses missing. Locking a car door takes less then a second, time well spent considering the alternative dealing with insurance claims and the out of pocket expenses of replacing stolen property. In a second matter, a truck parked on McNaughton Street in Wiarton had gas siphoned out of it sometime Tuesday night. Police would ask that if residents see suspicious activity in their neighbourhoods, please call in to report it. It is only when everyone does their part that we will see a reduction in these types of crimes.
