IMPAIRED DRIVER GETS HIMSELF CAUGHT (KINCARDINE, ON.) – On July 3rd, 2010 at 6:35 pm, a South Bruce OPP officer was on patrol along Harbour Street when a vehicle squealed its tires as it pulled out in front of the police cruiser. The car was stopped and the driver was found to have been drinking alcohol. 54 year old Marcus Wadsworth of Kincardine is charged with Operate over 80 milligrams. He is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court on August 23, 2010 to answer to the charge. SINGLE VEHICLE CRASH INJURES DRIVER (KINCARDINE, ON.) – On July 5, 2010 at 8:54 pm, the South Bruce OPP and Bruce County Ambulance were called to the scene of a single vehicle collision off County Road 4, Brant Township between Walkerton and Hanover. The driver exited the vehicle, but left the engine running. The vehicle started to roll and struck the driver before coming to rest in the Saugeen River. The 25 year old male driver was taken to Hanover Hospital, and then air lifted to London hospital with life threatening injuries. The South Bruce OPP are investigating this incident with the assistance of the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators and the OPP Forensic Identification Unit. The South Bruce OPP would like to recommend that all drivers consider turning off the vehicle engine before leaving the drivers seat in the interest of public safety. |
EMERGENCY SERVICES DISPLAY (KINCARDINE, ON.) – On Saturday July 10th, 2010 from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm, the South Bruce OPP are hosting an Emergency Services Display at the Kincardine detachment. Members of the public are invited to stop by and view the Police, Fire and Ambulance displays. Plan to attend this event to see Emergency equipment up close and speak with Emergency services personnel. Everyone is welcome.
