Police Execute Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search Warrant

(South Bruce, ON.) On July 9th, 2010 members of the Ontario Provincial Police Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement Unit, South Bruce and the South Bruce Detachment executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search Warrant in the Municipality of Huron Kinloss.

From a residence on 21 Highway, Municipality of Huron-Kinloss. Police discovered a small quantity of methamphetamine, ecstasy, oxycodone, percocet and a Cannabis Marihuana grow operation.

2 adults were arrested and charged.
Both adults were charged with possession of methamphetamine, production of Cannabis Marihuana, Possession of Cannabis Marihuana for the purpose of trafficking, Possession of ecstasy, possession of oxycodone, and possession of percocets.  Both adults were also charged with breach of undertaking as they were both already on release documents from other drug charges. 

Both adults, Dwayne SAVAGE and Michelle ARMSTRONG were held for an audio bail hearing.
Numerous items seized from residence, small amount of cash, estimated street value of the narcotics seized is approximately $ 25000.

2 more adults were arrested for possession of Cannabis Marihuana; both were released with a court date in September of 2010

BUSINESS BREAK-INS

(WIARTON, ON.) – Bruce Peninsula OPP continues to ask the public to report suspicious activities in the business areas of Wiarton and Sauble Beach.  Overnight Sunday, two Wiarton businesses were entered and one in Sauble Beach.  Over the past few months police have noted a marked increase in the number of commercial break-ins that are occurring in these two communities. 

Since the first of April 2010, nine break-ins have occurred in Wiarton with all of them at commercial locations and in Sauble Beach and area, five of 10 entries have been commercial.
