PORT-A-POTTI SET ABLAZE

A 21-year-old Owen Sound man was injured when he swerved to avoid being struck by a car Friday evening.

The young man was travelling eastbound on his yellow motorcycle on 6/21 Highway around 7:30 pm.  He was travelling in the outside lane when a black Mercedes Benz turned into his lane cutting him off and forcing him to ground his motorcycle which slid into the ditch.    The man received non life threatening injuries.  The collision occurred near the West Side Nursery on the Sunset Strip.  The driver of the Mercedes Benz did not stop but continued into Owen Sound.

Traffic was heavy at the time and police are asking any member of the public who witnessed the collision or who can identify the Mercedes Benz that left the scene, to call the Grey County OPP or Crime Stoppers.
