Senior Mens’ Golf News

This week’s Senior Golf day took place on the first Tuesday of July, and therefore, the format was a four-man scramble.  Only one team managed to break par on Tuesday, playing in extremely hot and humid weather.

The three-man team of Terry Bailey, Jim Connelly and Peter Welford took first place with a score of 71.  In second place and only one stroke behind was the team captained by Barry Beatty with Tom Bailey, Barry MacKenzie and Bert Tripp.

Two teams were tied for third place with scores of one over par 73.  Congratulations to the team captained by Al Cruickshank with John Upper, Watt Rodgers and Bill Richards and to the team captained by Bob Speight with Charlie Schmalz, George MacDonald and Mike Fitzmaurice.

Jim Connelly won the Closest to the Pin contest on the fifth hole.
