The Tiverton Agricultural Society is hosting a barbecue this Sunday, July 25, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased from any director: $15 for adults, $7 for students, free for children under age five. For information or tickets, contact Audel at 519-368-7325. A special thank you to the volunteers who make this event possible, and to all who come out to support the agricultural society.

As our fall fair draws closer, now is the time to think about a yard display which will be judged and prizes awarded. This display should include our theme "Fall Leaves and Corn Sheaves.” The sign should have the name and date of our fair, Oct. 1-2.

Come on kids, now is the time to be working on your youth poster. The theme for this category is "Promoting Your Fair.” The posters are to be hand-drawn by a school student. The rules are available at the Tiverton Library. There are two classes: A) youth up to Grade 6, B) youth Grades 7-12. Prizes are $10, $7, $5 and $3. Bring your posters to the library by Sept. 8 and watch for them in our local store windows at fair time.

The "Windy Gardens" quilt tickets are selling well. The design is intriguing and popular. To purchase or help sell tickets, contact Dianne Todd at 519-368-7114.

Our Ambassador Committee is searching for contestants 17-23 years of age. Contact Laurie at 519-368-7980.
