On Monday, August 2nd, the Propeller Club of Southampton will wind up the Bluenose Raffle at the Tour Base.

This fundraiser was started when Pat Thorne, a master model builder donated a hand made Bluenose II to the Propeller Club to raise funds for the new tour boat. He then donated several more of his creations to make a fabulous prize package.

And, to start things off he sold one of his smaller Bluenose boats to Gord Webb, and immediately passed on the $400 to the club. Pat has never sold his models for profit but instead has donated them to various groups, including our own hospital to raise funds.

On Monday, after the 9:30am tour returns to the river, Captain Carol Walberg and Crew, Don Warren will proceed to the tour base to conduct the draw.

Hopefully, Pat Thorne will be able to come over and pick out the winners for the Canada Goose (4th prize), the Wall Ducks (3rd prize), the

Rocking Horse (2nd prize) and The Bluenose II for the grand prize winner. Tickets will be available up until draw time, 12:15pm, for $2 each or 3 for $5. So, come on down to the river at noon on Monday!
