I am a visitor that comes to Southampton 2-3 times a, year. We love the town and the shopping as it is a nice town. When we arrived at Cedar Court Motel and were signing in, Marie mentioned that her signs were going to be removed. I never heard anything so disturbing and so unheard of as a town enforcing such a bylaw. Do the council members and town want to fold up Southampton? Do they not want tourists in the town spending their money? Where ever you go there are signs that tourists depend on. We don’t have gps and are older people. We like it peaceful as we live in Wallaceburg, Ontario. The first time we came here we happened to see a sign saying Cedar Court Motel so we followed the sign. Without that sign we never would have looked for a motel down from the Huron Haven motel. You people on council are making a big mistake as we see no factories for people that live here so I would guess the town depends on tourists. Think about what you are doing to these local businesses that are off the main street. Annie Blanchard Wallaceburg, Ontario
