The crowd enjoys the sound of the James Gannett Trio Wednesday afternoon in Victoria Park

If the large crowds in Victoria Park are any indication, the Kincardine Summer Music Festival afternoon concerts have been a huge success.

Held at 4 p.m. each day during jazz week (Aug. 1-6), the concerts continue this week (Aug. 8-14), with a magnificent roster of entertainers.

Performing in the afternoon are:

  • Aug. 8 - Lighthouse Swing Band
  • Aug. 9 - 2010 Juno Nominees Madison Violet
  • Aug. 10 - Georgian Bay Woodwind Quintet
  • Aug. 11 - Bach to Beatles - saxophone duo
  • Aug. 12 - Larry Jensen
  • Aug. 13 - Howlin' Dog Vintage Jazz Band
Performing at the evening concerts at Knox Presbyterian Church are the following:
  • Aug. 8 - Joseph Petric - concert accordionist
  • Aug. 9 - Trillium Brass Quintet
  • Aug. 10 - Peter Allen - concert pianist
  • Aug. 11 - Montreal Quartet - classical
  • Aug. 12 - Project Aria - classical: sopranos, piano, trumpet
  • Aug. 13 - "Sounds Symphonic" - music festival orchestra and wind ensemble
