Bluewater Summer
Playhouse is hosting the second concert of the Blues Night
Series, Sunday, Aug. 22, at the Kincardine Arts Centre for the Arts. Featuring Andre and the J-Tones, this one-night show is a must-see for Blues lovers. Andre and the J-Tones is a six-piece rhythm and blues, funk, rock and soul band that performs favourites from the '60s and '70s. The group is energetic with a funky horn section and a singer with the raspy and gutsy power of Wilson Pickett and the gentle sound of Otis Redding and Sam Cooke. Playing the music of The Commitments, The Blues Brothers, Stevie Wonder, Joe Cocker, Sam & Dave, CCR, and The Beatles, this Hamilton band has been together for about six years performing all over Ontario. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 each and are available through the Bluewater Summer Playhouse or Jerome Flowers and Gifts.
