Forty volunteers created 108 blocks, totalling 140 hours of quilting, to create the beautiful "Windy Gardens" quilt.

Joining Doreen Soloduka in the photograph of this work of art were the project's driving force Jane Kelley and Katherine Gowing. Beautifully done ladies - our thanks!

Besides the crowning of the Ambassador, and the Prince and Princess competitions at this year's Tiverton Fall Fair, the planned entertainment for the Ambassador Night, Oct. 1, is a contest for "Tiverton's Mr. Beautiful." Come out and see what our handsome guys look like in gowns and high heels.

Hey Moms - kids getting bored? Visit our website, tivertonagsociety.com, check out the Fair Book section to see a complete list of crafts the kids could be working on this summer. Check pages 56, 57, 58. And woodworkers, check page 31 in the Fair Book. We are looking for entries in the "under 20 years", Division 21A.

To have your crops judged, contact the following:  for soy beans, ensilage corn, and grain corn - Les Ribey;  for white and black beans - Dennis Munro.

We are searching for memorabilia pertinent to our 150th Fair in October, 2011. Our next two meetings are Sept. 7 and 21 at the Whitney Crawford Community Centre. Any questions, contact Doreen at 519-368-7768.
