The second annual Firefighters Breakfast held at the Whitney Crawford Community Centre on Sunday was a great success. The funds raised went to Camp Bucko which provides for children recovering from burn injuries.

Steve and Colleen Robertson of Kincardine celebrated their 32nd anniversary with a trip to Bayfield and dined at the Little Inn on Main Street. After 32 years, three children, three grandchildren and more to come, the love is still there.

Good luck goes out to Nick Battler, son of very proud parents, Ken Battler and Marie Wilson, as he treks off to St. Jean, Quebec, for Basic Training. He is now part of the Infantry for the Royal Canadian Regime.

Dee Dee Labonte travelled to Prince Edward Island for her niece's wedding last week and visited relatives out there.

John MacKinnon and Shirley Cooper celebrated their 60th birthdays by hosting a party where the 'presents' were donations to the food bank. John and Shirley express their gratitude because they were astounded by the generosity of their friends and family who attended. They raised a good sum of money and food for the cause.

Cliff and Jean Brown, along with their sons and their families, travelled to Alliston to attend the wedding of their granddaughter, Sherri Brown, to Jim Masters.  The new couple will reside in Angus, Ontario.

Tiverton Agricultural Society

The Tiverton Agricultural Society appreciates all the many volunteers who helped to make our "Bruce County Beef Barbecue” a success - Wayne Burke for the use of the barbecue, Bumper's for advertising our event on their sign, Steve Eby for his contribution and for all the many workers.

Mushball Tournament

The Tiverton Ladies Ball League will be hosting its annual mushball tournament on Sept. 10-12 at the ball diamonds in Tiverton. Anyone interested in putting in a team, please contact Kelly Brown at 519-368-5690 or Kate Smith at 519-368-5347. 

New this year is the 'Over 40' division for those of you who are aged like Kelly Brown. On your roster you can have two exceptions who are under 40, the rest have to be over 40 to qualify.
