Drivers injured in construction zone crash |

(KINCARDINE TWP, ON) – On Aug. 15, at 6:08 a.m., the South Bruce OPP received a report of a two-vehicle crash on Highway 21, Kincardine Township, north of Concession 9. A vehicle was stopped for a red light in the construction zone when another vehicle came along and crashed into the back of the stopped vehicle. Both drivers were treated at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre in Kincardine for minor injuries and released. 54
year old Caroline Rider of Kincardine is charged with Careless
Driving. The South Bruce OPP is sending a caution out to motorists
to be extra vigilant in construction zones. Temporary traffic
control systems are put in place for safety reasons and must be obeyed
by all drivers. 31 year old Jaret Poff of Essex is charged with operating a pleasure craft with insufficient number of life jackets. The South Bruce OPP Marine Unit encourages vessel owners to safely enjoy their day on the water. Leaving the dock without the required safety equipment has too often ended in tragedy. Anyone with

RIDE CHECK FINDS MOTORIST WITH CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
(WALKERTON, ON) – On Aug. 14, at 1:05 a.m., members of the South Bruce OPP and Hanover Police Service were conducting a RIDE check on Durham Street West in Walkerton. A vehicle stopped at the RIDE
check and officers determined that the driver was in possession of a
controlled substance. 24 year old Wesley Dietrich of Ripley Is charged
with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Trafficking in a
Controlled Substance. Dietrich is scheduled to appear in Provincial
Court on Sept. 27 to answer to the charges.
