Despite rain and gale-force winds, people lined up at the 'Offshore Bakery' on Saturday morning in Southampton

Dramatic changes in weather around the Great Lakes, saw temperatures drop and winds reach gale-force velocity along with heavy rain at time.

Despite the change, many visitors who were spending one of the last weekends of the summer in communities along the Lake Huron coastline, did not let the weather deter them.

In Southampton, people lined up to visit one of the town's favourite Saturday morning spots, the 'Offshore Bakery.

A kayak was carried by the wind along the beach and had to be 'rescued' before being swept out
