IMPAIRED BOATER

 (WIARTON, ON.) – A 66-year old man from Grand Bend was arrested on the waters of Georgian Bay for impaired boating late Sunday afternoon and transported to Wiarton where he was taken to detachment for breath tests.  The man blew over the legal limit and was released with an October 7th court date in Owen Sound. 

Charged is Mike Hurley of Grand Bend Ontario.

BREAK-IN REPORTED

(NORTHERN BRUCE PENINSULA, ON.) – A cottage was reported entered on August 28th to police.  The entry occurred on Tamarac Road in Northern Bruce Peninsula. 

Although nothing appears taken in this burglary, police continue to report these entries so that the public is aware of general areas where current crimes are taking place.

Bruce Peninsula OPP relies on the help of the public to alert us to suspicious activities and crimes in progress.

GENERAL

(BRUCE PENINSULA, ON.) – Over the past weekend Bruce Peninsula OPP responded to 84 calls for service.  Calls included 11 traffic complaints, 6 liquor violations and 4 noise complaints.  Four motor vehicle collisions and three minor thefts including the theft of a robin egg blue kayak from the Tobermory area were also investigated.
