Volunteer Climate Observer leaving ... new observer needed

Since 28 April 2004, I have been a Volunteer Climate Observer for Environment Canada, and have thoroughly enjoyed taking on this duty.

However there comes a time when one is not able to carry on, through disabilities.

We have tried to find a Volunteer, but the conditions with trees and their growth compromise the readings.

So if, there is anyone out in the surrounding areas  with space...

I have had wonderful support from a couple of neighbours - taking the recordings when we were away.

Then since just after the Saugeen Times came on line, I have passed the info on, so you could see what is happening here by Lake Huron in Southampton.

We shall be here a time longer, as we have not sold our property, yet.

But what a Summer, and it must have been very beneficial to the trades in Saugeen Shores, and also the farmers, never seen the Soy beans look so good for so long.

When we leave - we shall miss Southampton, and the folks we got to know, and the friends made -  and we have very mixed feelings.

Sincerely,
