The Massed Bands event this Saturday will have an added benefit for a youngster in need of a wheelchair. A fund-raiser is being held to help Jacob, the four-year-old grandson of an employee at the Kincardine hospital. The little boy has a chromosome disorder, needs to be g-tube fed, has braces on his legs and requires a wheelchair to get around. In fact, he needs a special wheelchair before he can attend school. Some funding is available, but the family is short about $1,300. Several staff members at the hospital are working to help get the special wheelchair for Jacob so he can start school in September. A few days were spent in shopping, making, dipping, packaging and getting ready for the main event - selling ice cream bars at the Massed Bands. Stop by and pick up one, and help support this worthy cause.

A handmade silver bracelet was donated
by "Bracelets by Bryan" and tickets were raffled off to
staff. Proceeds will go toward the wheelchair also.
Appreciation goes out to Kincardine Foodland, Bracelets by Bryan, Captain John's Fish and Chips and to all the staff who helped in any way to get a wheelchair for Jacob.
