Bruce Power's ninth annual charity golf tournament raised a record amount of $112,139.09, the most in the tournament's history, with the proceeds split between the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation and the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation.

The golf tournament was held Friday, Aug. 20, at the Saugeen Golf Club.

Bruce Power is also teaming up with the Toronto Blue Jays to offer a baseball clinic for local youngsters, ages seven to 14, this Saturday (Aug. 28). This is a grassroots program that travels in the Ontario region and is run by Blue Jays' scouting staff and hired coaches.

About 100 children from Kincardine, Saugeen Shores and the surrounding area have signed up and sine the coaches will be in Jays uniforms, it promises to be an impressive "major league" experience for the players and their parents.

Each participant receives a commemorative Blue Jays T-shirt and cap.
