While there are plenty of arts activities going on inside, there is also a lot going on outside the Kincardine Arts Centre as workers have begun the $1-million exterior restoration project. Meanwhile, Kincardine council has approved the installation of a new air-conditioning unit in the lower level. At the August planning and corporate services committee meeting, recreation director Karen Kieffer said a quote was provided by Ken Robinson Refrigeration Inc. for the new unit, including materials, labour and equipment, at a total cost of $17,500.18. Council approved the Best Value purchasing method and awarded the contract to Ken Robinson Refrigeration so the work can be done immediately. The money for this project will come from the Kincardine Arts Facility reserve fund.
