The Kincardine Theatre Guild has presented two $1,000 scholarships to young people heading off to post-secondary education this fall. Theatre guild members Leise Peddie, Mhairi Walsh and Bonnie Bryan made the presentations Friday morning to Hilary Holmes and Kristen MacLennan. Both young ladies are members of the guild and have performed on stage and helped out in other capacities with numerous shows. They are also active in their communities and at their schools. "We are very proud of their achievements," says Peddie, "and we hope these scholarships will help them further their education. It's a good way to help them out." Hilary is off to the University of Guelph in an honours arts major, while Kristen is taking the millwright program at Lambton College in Sarnia.
