Thanks to Cheryl Bridge and Marilyn Reid for organizing a great program on Friday at the Grove. Grace Rathwell, Grace Drummond, Reina Tuer and Adelinda Facherow are volunteers from the Wig Room and Accessories of Stratford and told us of their cancer outreach mission for patients in southwestern Ontario. This service has been provided by volunteers at Knox Presbyterian Church since 2003 and is funded by donations and their annual Spa Night held in April.

Congratulations to the Tiverton Agricultural Society on another great fair and their new ambassador, Brooke MacKenzie!

Also, a good crowd attended Pumpkinfest in Port Elgin where the largest pumpkin weighed 1,600 pounds. That's a big pumpkin!

Marilyn and Don Reid visited with Deanna and Morley Scott on Saturday evening.

This Wednesday, at 7:30 p.m., our Women's Institute meeting is at the Grove, with guest speaker James Turland on the topic of birds. Hope to see you there.

On Tuesday, Mary Anne Kukoly visited with her cousin, Betty (Hedley) and Jack Carrick in Owen Sound. Shirley Gilders of Clinton and Marg Schloendorf of Bayfield visited with Mary Anne last week. Mary Anne enjoyed brunch at the home of Maureen and Roy Collins and with Eileen and Rich Martzas of Airdrie, Alberta, just before the Martzas returned home.
