What a great weekend for the fair! The agricultural society and all the volunteers involved deserve a huge round of applause. We had a wonderful crowd and a great time. Can’t wait for the festivities of next year – the 150th anniversary celebration! Dennis and Jo Ann Todd celebrated 38 years of marriage this past week by enjoying a romantic night out in Port Elgin in their lovely new Ford. A couple of milestone birthdays in the village, Bob ‘Pudge’ Paige celebrated 50 years and my classy Auntie Mary Harriet Campbell celebrated 65 years on Fair Day. Happy Birthday also goes out to lovely Lisa Scott as she celebrates.

Larry and Linda Munro are very
excited to be grandparents to Jocelyn Marie Wilhelm, born on Sept. 15, weighing 6lbs 5oz.
Minor Sports The ice is in and the commotion at the arena is the sound of hockey starting for another season. Come out and cheer on your local team.
