Sold Out Yet Again – A Night at the Museum |

The annual 'Night at the Museum' is always a popular event and, this year proved no exception when it was again sold out. The event is a sleep-over for youngsters between the ages of eight and 13 that features a night filled with games, crafts, laughter and tons of fun. Sleeping bags and snacks were a must at the event held Saturday, October 16 from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. the following day as 30 kids took part in the rare opportunity to spend a night in a museum. The once-a-year event was sponsored, and assisted, by the South-Port Optimist Club.

The club that consists of adult volunteers, provides hope and a positive vision for "Bringing out the best in Kids". The Club's new President, Brenda Zinn, explains that the group's primary function is the weekly Thursday night Bingo held in the Southampton Town Hall each Thursday night at 7p.m. "The money raised is distributed to youth activities in our local area," says Zinn, "and we are always looking for new members.
