Kincardine Scottish Festival becomes its own entity |

The Kincardine Scottish Festival committee has now become incorporated and is a separate entity from the Municipality of Kincardine.
"Two years ago, we came to council and said we wanted to incorporate," he said. "It's been a trying two years for our executive. However, throughout that ordeal, we were encouraged by council, the CHAT (tourism) committee and municipal staff. You had confidence in us that we would reach our goal of incorporation." He said the Founding Meeting of the Kincardine Scottish Festival and Highlands Games Inc. will be held Thursday, Oct. 28, at 7 p.m. in the Scougall Gallery at the Kincardine Arts Centre. The agenda will include the transfer of directors and officers to the new corporation from the committee of council, and all other items deemed pertinent. "We offer our heartfelt thanks to to the municipality, the council and the employees for helping us get to this point," said McFarlane. "On behalf of council, congratulations," said mayor Larry Kraemer.
