time to remember those who fought for our freedom, during the Tiverton
Community Remembrance Day service on Nov. 11, at 10:45 a.m. at the
Tiverton Cenotaph, hosted by the ratepayers' association and the
churches of Tiverton. Please note that if the weather is inclement, the
service will be held at Tiverton Baptist Church. The Grade 8 class at KTTPS held a very successful "Odd Jobs Day," raising money for the trip to Ottawa in May. Special thanks to Peter and Cindy Eberl for organizing the day. COOKIE WALK Knox Presbyterian Church is hosting a Cookie Walk on Saturday, Dec. 4, from 10 a.m. until noon, in the church school room. There will be fancy cookies, squares, Christmas pudding, and Christmas cake and candy all for sale. It's a chance for people who don't bake or are too busy, to get homemade treats that are fresh and delicious. For further information, contact June at 519-368-7347. WHAT MONTH ARE YOU? There is a call out for volunteers with creative flair to participate in the creation of a calendar for 2011, with the proceeds donated to the Canadian Cancer Society, sponsored by The King's Pearl. There will be 12 creative photo shots required to make this a success. Please submit your name/phone number and idea in writing to The King's Pearl, from Nov. 3-10, and if your idea is in the top 12, you will receive a call.

ANNUAL CHRISTMAS TEA AND BAZAAR The Tiverton and District Lions Club will host its annual Christmas Tea and Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 13, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the Whitney Crawford Community Centre. Admission is free, lunch will be available, and Santa will visit from 10-11 a.m. CHRISTMAS TREE-LIGHTING We will be hosting our Christmas tree-lighting on our OPG tree in St Andrews Park again this year. If you would like to donate or perhaps volunteer, please call Heather at 519-368-7518 or Lisa at 519-368-2427. MINOR SPORTS Game on - there are plenty of games taking place at our arena.
