Remembrance Day is always an important day for the Kincardine Legion. But this year, it was doubly so, as the service club conducted a swearing-in ceremony for new member William Klym, inspector of the South Bruce OPP. Other new members who were already sworn in last month are Penny and Richard Dwinnell, Hugh MacKay, Toni Fludder, Wendy Gibson, Gordon Campbell, and Normand Trudel. As of Nov. 1, the Legion had just under 500 members. In 2000, the membership total was 804. President Red Larsen and secretary Bob Grey were also pleased to present donations to PRANCE, the Therapeutic Riding Centre in Saugeen Shores, $1,000; and to Kincardine Guiding, $400.
