The Kincardine Lakeside Chevrolet Bantam girls hockey team was honoured at the Kincardine council meeting Wednesday night (May 7) for winning the 2014 Ontario Women's Hockey Association (OWHA) Bantam girls "C" provincial championship.

Mayor Larry Kraemer presented plaques to each member of the team, including the coaching staff.

The team was also recognized April 19 with a parade through downtown Kincardine.
